Insane Magic on Glastonbury 2025

The magic ensemble Insane Magic brings Cameron Gibson, Elliot Bibby and Luke Osey and is known for its fast-paced, funny and slightly chaotic shows. Fresh off the back of two sold-out runs at Edinburgh Fringe, the trio arrive at Glastonbury Festival.

We caught up with Gibson to find out more about their plans for Worthy Farm.

Q&A with Cameron Gibson from Insane Magic

Can you tell us a little about yourself?

We’re Insane Magic – we’re a trio of professional magicians (who also happen to be best friends) that decided to join forces around 3 years ago to create a fun show full of magic, chaos and comedy!

How did you get into live performance?

The three of us actually have our own individual performing careers spanning a total of over 30 years – and all have our own stories of how we specifically got into performing live on stage – but what we all share is a love of entertaining and creating cool, interesting experiences for people. Funnily enough, the Saturday show at Glastonbury is going to be the 100th “Insane Magic” Show EVER!

What’s it like to be performing at this year’s Glastonbury Festival?

It’s absolutely amazing! When we came together those years ago; it was initially with the aim of just having a bit of fun – but the success we’ve seen since then (selling out around 60 shows, getting 5-star reviews – the lot!) has been incredible and has all led us to this awesome opportunity!

What can you tell us about your plans for the shows?

We only have a short time to share our magic with you (40 mins!) and so we’re going to cram it full of some of our favourite (and silliest!) routines and illusions.

How do you approach performing at a festival like this?

It’s different to a usual show because the audience are a little more transient – and not necessarily there to see “you” – so we need to keep things fast-paced, visual, snappy, and fun. We also don’t get to utilise all the tech we usually do in our full-production shows so we’re much more reliant on our experience as performers to make our show feel big!

Will you be checking out any other acts across the weekend?

Absolutely – we’re excited to get ourselves immersed in the whole weekend. We have a small list of music acts we want to see and we’re also excited to see our fellow theatre & circus performers. We actually know quite a few from doing the rounds on the circuit so equally excited to reconnect with old friends as we are to make new ones!
