Glastonbury Festival’s open-air stage, The Gateway is situated at the top of Glebeland and offers a real variety of acts across the weekend.
It’s mostly orientated towards music, but with some fitness and comedy thrown in for good measure.
This year, the schedule is packed full of returning cult favourites like Lekiddo – Lord of the Lobsters and a communal workout with Joe Wicks.
Acts to consider:
Otto & Astrid, Die Roten Punkte
One of our highlights of last year’s festival. As with the White Stripes, who the band seem to be partially based on, these Berliners claim to be brother and sister. We found Otto, who bears a sticking resemblance to Gary Numan, wearing a CBGBs-styled t-shirt with the letters replaced with ‘OTTO’ and Astrid wearing a pair of wings, later referred to as ‘my hedgehog,’ and makes jokes about her size, promising not to stage dive.
Friday 16:15-16:45, Saturday 14:15-14:45 and Sunday 14:55-15:25
Joe Wicks
Why not warm up those limbs with a Joe Wicks warm-up. OK, it’s a little cheesy but he won us over last year with a fun way to kick off the day.
