Crooner’s Corner is a hidden gem in the Circus Field by Bella’s Bridge at Glastonbury Festival. It isn’t a traditional ‘stage’ – in fact, it’s little more than a PA setup on a small riser in a shaded corner where soulful, jazzy vocals drift gently over the festival bustle. That’s to say, it doesn’t need anything else.
Set away from the madness of the South East Corner or the packed-out main stage music stages, Crooner’s Corner offers a mellow, genteel pause in the middle of the Theatre & Circus area.
An underrated sanctuary where you can take a moment away from the hustle and bussle, perhaps with a drink in hand, and enjoy some classic crooning under the trees.
I’ve often been told how surprised festival-goers are to find the talent on offer here. Though it thrives on modesty, Crooner’s Corner embodies Glastonbury’s spirit: spontaneous, eclectic, and full of character – whether it’s a strolling puppet show, a vintage vocal performance, or a heartwarming singalong.
This year, we took a special focus on Crooners Corner and the acts that grace the small riser, spending time watching Charlotte May, Mama Tokus, Georgia D’Arcy and the Duke of Croons – a whole other side of Glastonbury. Read the reviews now!
