Georgia D’Arcy review – Glastonbury Festival 2025

I arrive slightly late to Georgia D’Arcy’s set – she has already launched into her first song as I arrive out of breath. One of the perils of Glastonbury Festival is that there is little forgiveness for poor schedule planning. It’s easy to get distracted by one of the many sights (especially in Theatre & Circus) and suddenly find yourself with only ten minutes to get to a performance that is twenty minutes away.

Having got caught up watching another act on Summer House, I leg it across the circus field to find D’Arcy in full flow with a dedicated following already surrounding her on the Crooner’s Corner riser.

Her voice is soulful and strong on a selection of jazzy covers. Like most of the acts on Crooner’s Corners, D’Arcy performs multiple times across the weekend and her voice shows little sign of fatigue, though she sips from a hot drink between songs.

By the time she launches into an energetic version of Teddy Swims’ Lose Yourself, she has gained a strong contingent of fans who are matching her word for word, enthusiastically dancing along. There’s a sea of arms swinging to You’re Just to Good to Be True – the crowd now so large that there is little room for those funnelling past from Bella’s Bridge.

Most of these people have happened upon D’Arcy by chance and are now giving it their all to her set. If this isn’t the magic of Glastonbury, I don’t know what is.

‘Amazing,’ D’Arcy says as she finishes – I know.

Glastonbury Festival 2025 took place from 25-29 June 2025
