The recent Royal Shakespeare Company and Good Chance production of Kyoto starring the Tony award-nominated actor Stephen Kunken is to transfer to @sohoplace for a limited 16-week run, beginning on Thursday 9 January.
Written by Good Chance co-founders Joe Murphy and Joe Robertson, the production features direction by Stephen Daldry and Justin Martin. The play covers the negotiations which lead to the historic signing of the UN’s landmark climate conference in December 1997.
Returning with Kunken in the transfer are Jenna Augen, Olivia Barrowclough, Jorge Bosch, Nancy Crane, Andrea Gatchalian, Togo Igawa, Kwong Loke, Dale Rapley, Raad Rawi and Ferdy Roberts.
Speaking about the transfer, Kunken said that “Bringing this play to life has been one of the most invigorating, challenging and rewarding artistic endeavours of my career.”
